Markforged Mark Two - Carbon Fiber Inlay 3D Printer

The Mark Two is a carbon-fiber inlay 3D Printer, meaning it has a regular filament nozzle, plus a spool of carbon fiber that is layed down in the filament as a reinforcement. Users can control how much and on what layers they want this reinforcement thorugh the Markforged slicer, Eiger.io.
Please be aware: As this printer is significantly more involved than our other printers, members are not allowed to self-load filament - instead they must pay Hacker Lab for filament used (Eiger.io will tell you the cost of the print during the slicing process). -

Resin Pour Area - Inside Laser Room
Resin may only be mixed and applied inside the 12' x 8' area, located in the southwest corner of the laser room, where the floor is painted light gray. Members must provide and wear (a) safety glasses, (b) gloves, and (c) an organic vapor respirator at all times. The ceiling exhaust fan must be on at all times. Members must protect the floor with unbroken plastic sheeting sufficient to catch all possible spills. Members must protect all table surfaces. Members must clean up all spills on all surfaces before the spilled resin cures.
Only Superclear Table Top Epoxy Resin and Superclear Deep Pour Epoxy Resin have been approved for use in Hacker Lab's Resin area. Members must provide the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any other resin they would like to use. They must get prior approval from John or Nile before opening the container.
