Summer Camp!

June 18th - June 22nd
9am - 5pm

Overview:

This week long Summer Camp covers the basics of fabrication with wood, metal, and plastic, to produce a set of props. Students will learn how to design a prop then build the design using elements in the shop. Students are allowed to create anything from their favorite video game, cartoon, tv show, or anime. They’ll be able to see their imagination come to life. They will have the option of creating their design on the laser cutter or building it by hand in the shop

About Maker Academy:

Sac Makers is youth education at Hackerlab.  We provide guidance and structured lessons from 8.30am – 5:30pm (Monday thru Thursday) in Design, Code and Build.  With three instructors and daily access to industry standard knowledge, tools and software; Sac Makers students can dig into their own projects with a method we call BYOP(bring your own project) or engage with a facilitator who specializes in Design, Code or Build.

Fandemic Tour is a new type of comic con bringing fandom, fun and family together to celebrate all of pop culture. Fandemic Tour will provide programming open to all who attend throughout the weekend. Throughout the three-day event, attendees can purchase autographs and photo ops with Fandemic Tour celebrities. Sacramento is the debut show, June 22-24 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
