CANCELLED: RAN-100: Soldering Electronics for Beginners
What You'll Learn
Soldering is a simple task, but as with anything we do for the first time that involves molten metal and a hot, potentially dangerous tool, it can feel a little intimidating. In this class, you will heat and tin a soldering iron, then solder a simple (and I mean a VERY simple) circuit involving a battery, LED, and resistor. By the end of the class, you will be a little more comfortable with a soldering iron and confident in your ability to solder more complex circuits.
- How to apply the solder to ensure proper flow and adhesion.
- The various types of solder, irons, and soldering tips.
- Safety precautions to take when soldering.
