Overview

New member? Start Here! This weekly orientation is required before any of the tools in the Maker Space can be used outside of a class, but is also a great way to get an overview of the tools & layout of the space. The orientation is free, but please sign up as slots are limited.

Reminder: This Orientation is for Hacker Lab members only. If you've never been to Hacker Lab and want a tour, please signup here

We'll Cover:

  • Layout of our Makerspace
  • Overview of the major tools & equipment
  • General safety procudures & location of safety equipment
  • A chance to get your questions about the space answered

Important Information

If you are not able to get into the signup list for this week's orientation you may schedule an orientation with the front desk staff via contact@hackerlab.org.

This orientation is required for Hacker Lab members to use makerspace equipment outside of scheduled classes. Please note: you must also take equipment specific intro courses to be authorized on specific equipment throughout the space.

Please be aware: Most of our one-on-one classes require students to register at least 48 hours ahead of class time, after which they will be marked 'Not available'. Our regular cancellation policy of 48 hours of advance notice also applies.
