Midtown Making A Butcher Block Cutting Board

About this Class

You've taken the basic woodshop classes, or you worked in your uncle's woodshop and learned the basics.  Now you want to apply it!  What to do?
Come take this great class to learn how to make butcher block cutting boards!  Marc Berner will teach you how to prepare, cut, plane, sand, glue and varnish. He says there should be enough time in the class for each student to make two cutting boards.  Best of all, you take home what you make!

 

What to Bring / Wear?

CLOTHING: Please be sure to wear clothing appropriate for the woodshop.  Jeans and t-shirt with closed toed shoes are the best.  If you have longer hair, please tie it back or bundle it up into a cap.

TOOLS & MATERIALS: The teacher will provide all the necessary materials!  A $10 materials fee is built into the class fee.

About the Instructor

Marc Berner is an expert on the use of the scroll saw.  He is looking forward to teaching you the techniques necessary on the Scroll saw!  He will help you learn to create everything from puzzles and shadow boxes to art pieces.  Marc is the guy who wrote the book: “Scroll Saw Basics“, available through Amazon.com.
