SAC-120: Intro to Metal Shop Part 2
What You'll Learn
If you’ve taken our “SAC-100: Intro to the Metal Shop” class, you are eligible to take this class and learn about some of Hacker Lab’s cool new fabrication tools. Tools include pipe/tubing bender, the sheet metal break and the corner notcher. You will get a demonstration, and then a chance to try it for yourself!
- Safety training for tool use
- Students will finish the class with a full understanding of the proper use of these tools
- The instructor will take time to explain which tool can be used for which job and which material works the best on these tools
- The tubing bender allows you to work with both round and square tubing

Important Information
This class is limited to 6 students. Sign up early because it fills fast!
Be sure to wear 100% cotton pants and a long sleeve 100% cotton shirt. Closed toe shoes or leather boots are ideal. Don’t wear anything that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring safety glasses/hearing protection if you have them.
This class is required for those wanting to use the pipe bender, sheet metal break and corner notcher in Hacker Lab’s Metal Shop.
Pre-requisite: You must have taken “SAC-100: Intro to Metal Shop” or have equivalent experience to take this class.
